Position Summary:
To maintain and to develop new business in Lifestyle applications for High Performance Polymers Business Unit in China
Job Responsibilities:
- To work jointly with sales manager, other sales executive and distributors to identify, develop and maintain lifestyle business in China, especially in Southern China.
- Business development
1. identify and develop new business opportunities(new customers, new applications, etc);
2. identify future market needs.
- Customer relationship management
Develop and improve good and stable relationships with local customers and distributors in order to identify their needs and future trends, and give timely feedbacks to related parties.
- Technical assistance
1. Provide timely technical assistance to the customers if needed;
2. Identify needs for more sophisticated support and get technical experts from technical centre in Shanghai or Germany involved if necessary;
3. Initiate and follow up one development project in technical centre.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or above) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Polymer Processing, or related background;
- Demonstration of understanding in theory and applications of high performance polymers;
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently within China;
- Willingness to learn and willingness to share experience;
- Ability to work with partners from different nationalities and cultural backgrounds;
- Excellent in written and spoken English and Chinese Mandarin. Speaking of Cantonese is preferred;
- Good communication and negotiation skills;
- Experience in polymer processing is preferred.
- Candidate with sales experience is preferred (but not a must).
